The Innovative Urbanism Symposium team, associated with Spokane University district, asked us for a comprehensive brand that would translate well into collateral material, including some event information and sponsorship packets. Because the goal was to create a yearly event, we wanted the brand to leave a lasting impression and be highly adaptable for future Symposiums. We were inspired by the themes of urbanism and city planning and wanted to create something that felt modern and innovative while also catching the eye of their intended audience.

Behind the Logo
The IUS logo features a bold sans-serif typeface, symbolizing strength and knowledge. The logo mark incorporates a series of 'U' shapes, forming the monogram IUS, which represents pathways and the sharing of ideas. These dynamic curves also signify urban planning, mapping, and roads, while subtly echoing the Spokane U District logo.
Event Booklet
The Innovative Urbanism Symposium team needed an event booklet to showcase their many speakers, along with the dates and times of their sessions. They required a design that would effectively present this information while reflecting the symposium's forward-thinking ethos.
The design concept revolves around clarity, modernity, and innovation. The layout is clean and intuitive, ensuring easy navigation and quick access to essential information. Each section is thoughtfully organized, with a balanced mix of text, visuals, and white space to enhance readability.
